Multiple reports surfaced [1] this week claiming that New York Attorney General Letitia James is expected to be indicted for mortgage fraud in the coming days.
The reports, which circulated widely on X, also suggested that former FBI Director James Comey may face indictment from the same office.

The Gateway Pundit has reported on the matter since March 2025, detailing allegations of fraudulent mortgage filings involving James.
According to those reports, the alleged filings span more than four decades.
On Monday, the outlet published what it described as a mock prosecution memorandum outlining potential federal and state charges tied to the investigation.
Special Prosecutor Ed Martin has been overseeing the case against James since August.
In addition, attorney Lindsey Halligan was appointed as prosecutor in the Eastern District of Virginia, where the indictments are reportedly expected to be filed.
MSNBC also addressed the reports, citing posts by conservative commentator Bennie Johnson on X.
During the network’s coverage, correspondent Ken Dilanian stated that indictments against James are anticipated.
“The same office is expected to charge Letitia James with mortgage fraud. Trump, exhorting his attorney general to charge those people as soon as possible,” Dilanian said.
Dilanian also reported that former FBI Director James Comey is expected to be indicted by the Eastern District of Virginia in connection with a separate investigation.
