Bongino Blasts ‘Tim Walz and These Other Left-Wing Jokers’ Letting Crime Run Rampant [WATCH]

Conservative commentator Dan Bongino sharply criticized Democratic leaders and progressive public-safety policies this week, arguing that left-wing governance has repeatedly failed to control crime while pro-law-enforcement approaches have delivered historic results.

Speaking about recent commentary from Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and other Democrats, Bongino dismissed their claims of having credible solutions to public safety challenges.

“You know, listening to Tim Walz and these other, you know, left wing jokers talk about public safety as if they have any kind of like lodestar or 12 step manual to get it done. Is, it’s tragic. It’s not funny. It really is tragic,” Bongino said.

Bongino contrasted current Democratic leadership with past law-and-order figures, arguing that earlier approaches succeeded by empowering police officers rather than constraining them.

“These guys are clowns before people like Rudy Giuliani and Donald Trump with that, go get them boys attitude, where you get these bad guys off the street came into power,” Bongino said.

“You know, they had to clean up the mess from these clowns running their cities the way they did.”

He argued that crime reduction is impossible when political leaders limit police authority and discretion, saying officers are unable to perform their duties effectively under progressive policies.

“But they hear walls talking. Let me show you what real cops do. Well, I know what real cops do. Real cops would do real cop stuff. More real cop stuff, if people like Tim Walz and others would let them be real cops,” Bongino added.

Bongino pointed to national crime data to support his claims, highlighting what he described as record-setting declines during the first year of the current administration.

“Sean, just think about this. Man, I’m a numbers guy. I like spreadsheets. Numbers can be boring. This one is not boring. I promise you,” Bongino said.

“The President United States, under his first year, we just had the lowest number of homicides in recorded history.”

He emphasized that the decline was notable not only for its historic low level but also for the pace of improvement compared with previous years.

“Not only that, the percentage drop from last year, which understandably was still pretty low, was also a record number that was under this administration,” Bongino said.

According to Bongino, the explanation for the drop in violent crime is straightforward and policy-driven.

“Why? Because he let cops be cops, and he let us go get the bad guys, and he shut down the border,” he said.

“It’s not freaking rocket science, man.”

Bongino concluded by rejecting Democratic claims that progressive governance offers a proven model for public safety, calling those assertions deeply disconnected from reality.

“But again, to hear these clowns on the left talk about this like they have some bedrock model of the left wing. Success on public safety is a it’s a tragic joke on all of us,” Bongino said.

“It’s a shame.”
