Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released a set of emails Wednesday that include a 2019 message in which Jeffrey Epstein alleged that President Donald Trump “knew about the girls.”

The documents were published as part of an ongoing effort by committee Democrats to obtain additional records connected to the Epstein investigation.
According to the committee, the email from 2019 referenced Trump’s past public statement that he barred Epstein from Mar-a-Lago after Epstein allegedly approached young women who worked at the club.
Trump has previously acknowledged knowing Epstein socially years ago but has also stated that he had a falling out with him well before the criminal proceedings that later unfolded.
House Oversight Ranking Member Robert Garcia (D-Calif.) said the emails “raise glaring questions about what else the White House is hiding and the nature of the relationship between Epstein and the President.”

The documents released by Democrats also include a 2011 email in which Epstein claimed that an individual identified only as “VICTIM,” with the name redacted, spent hours with Trump at Epstein’s residence.

The identity of the referenced individual has not been made public in the committee’s release.
Democrats intentionally redacted the name of the “victim” in the Epstein emails they released.
The unreacted version shows that it was Virginia Guiffre.
Guiffre had testified multiple times that President Trump did nothing and that she never even saw him at Epstein’s house. https://t.co/0KhX8ujPoJ pic.twitter.com/IaJkckvc1p

The committee’s publication of the messages follows earlier disputes between Democrats and the White House over the handling of additional materials tied to the Epstein investigation.
So the Democrat position is that Virginia Giuffre – a victim of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell – was lying under oath when she cleared Trump of wrongdoing.
Giuffre can’t defend her statements because she committed suicide in April 2025.
Convenient timing.

Trump previously described Democratic requests as a “hoax” and asserted that Democrats were seeking political advantage by pushing for broader disclosures.

Committee Democrats said the newly released records “raise serious questions” about Trump’s knowledge of Epstein’s conduct.
No federal investigative agency has stated that the emails constitute evidence of wrongdoing by Trump, and none of the publicly known Epstein victims who have come forward in past litigation have accused Trump of criminal behavior.
These Epstein/Maxwell emails reference Virginia Giuffre.
Giuffre’s testimony contradicts them:
She never saw Trump and Epstein together.
Trump never acted inappropriately towards her (no sex and no flirting).
She was never at Epstein’s house with Trump. https://t.co/obTvvQbh8g pic.twitter.com/zOQRQHep7r

The release of the emails prompted questions to the White House during the afternoon press briefing.
The administration responded by disputing the accuracy and relevance of the documents published by committee Democrats.
According to the White House, the claims referenced in the emails do not reflect findings from federal authorities and are not supported by investigative records.

President Trump also addressed the matter later in the day, criticizing the release of the emails and characterizing the move as politically motivated.
He said the committee’s actions followed recent legislative disputes and accused Democrats of attempting to revive allegations connected to the Epstein case.
