This week GOP and Democrat senators battled over another small business relief program to help Americans as the coronavirus wreaks havoc on the economy.

GOP senators presented what they believed to be a clean bill to help working Americans, but Democrats pushed back and wanted to include certain amounts for “underserved communities,” as well as extra funding for hospitals and state and local governments – which was not the purpose of this particular stimulus package.

As reported by The Daily Caller, CNN covered the stalemate initially running a story titled “Democrats Block GOP-Led Funding Boost For Small Business Aid Program.”

However, the title didn’t stick for long.  Someone up the chain at the ‘news’ organization’s headquarters was either unhappy with the underhanded slap on the Democrats’ wrist or was pressured by the DNC to change the tone.  Regardless of the reasoning, the story was given a new title within an hour of being posted.

The new title: “Senate at Stalemate Over More COVID-19 Aid After Republicans And Democrats Block Competing Proposals.”

Democrats continue to hold the country and legislation to help communities up with wish list items that have nothing to do with the intent of the bill, i.e. giving funding to illegal immigrants (which shouldn’t happen in any scenario) in bills designated for American small business owners.

Furthering the problem is the mainstream media’s blunt and overt bias as they attempt to coerce the populous into seeing the president and the GOP writ large as the enemy, not fellow citizens.
