During a CNN interview Friday Coronavirus Task Force member Dr. Anthony Fauci claimed that U.S. citizens may soon have to carry ‘immunity papers’ to prove that they did not have COVID-19.

“You know, that’s possible. It’s one of those things that we talk about when we want to make sure that we know who the vulnerable people are and not — this is something that’s being discussed. I think it might actually have some merit under certain circumstances,” he said.

However, not everyone is comfortable with such prospects.  As state and local governments issues tickets and fines throughout the country for once common activities, many citizens are concerned about going down a path with increased draconian restrictions, as is Attorney General William Barr.

He appeared on Fox News’ with Laura Ingraham and said, “we have to be very careful to make sure this, that the draconian measures that are being adopted are fully justified, and there are not alternative ways of protecting people.”

Congressman Justin Amash (I-MI) swiftly slammed the notion presented by Dr. Fauci on Twitter saying, “so police and government officials can stop us wherever we go and demand to see our papers?…How about no.”

But government officials weren’t the only ones to call out the doctor’s suggestion.  Twitter users fired back with their thoughts on the manner, none of which were supportive.
