A councilwoman took to Twitter and declared that Johnson “deserved” this because he’s one of the “worst” PM’s the UK has ever had.
But it didn’t stop there.

The below tweet below is yet another example of the type of comments Johnson is receiving during this troubling time.
#BorisJohnson deserves the situation he is in. He is a racist, empathyless asshole that ignored the advice of medical professionals all over the world and essentially said "Yeah, people will die, but fuck 'em. We aren't gonna do anything about it".

Fortunately, Good Morning Britain’s host Piers Morgan took to Twitter to blast the critics and defend Johnson in his compromised state.
If you have nothing positive to say about Boris Johnson on here tonight, then shut the f*ck up. The man is our Prime Minister & he is fighting for his life.

MORE NEWS: The Latest on the Show
The reality is this people: There are countless individuals that I disagree with, and plenty of you that disagree with me, but sane people do not wish the worst for others.
As an example, when CNN’s Chris Cuomo announced that he had contracted COVID-19, I didn’t think to myself ‘thank God.’
No, myself and others throughout the country and the digital media community wished him the best, because, despite our differences of opinion, I do not want him to fall ill.
The same is true for other Hollywood and entertainment icons that have come down with the virus. I wish them a speedy recovery.
The bottom line is this is an opportunity for all of us to rally together and find a path forward, not wish the worst for people who carry different opinions, because if we are all honest – we aren’t enemies, we just have different opinions. The sooner we realize that, the better off we will be.
