Former Vice President Joe Biden further solidified his role as the presumptive Democrat nominee in the 2020 presidential campaign after Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT) dropped out of the race.

Just days later President Trump released a new campaign ad attacking ‘Sleepy Joe’ and his allegiance to China, as well as his inability remember what he has said.

Several soundbites from Biden’s past highlight the soft spot in his heart for the communist nation, including comments like “it is in our self interest that China continue to prosper” and “China is gonna eat our lunch…C’mon man, they’re not bad folks, folks.”

The ad then turns its attention toward Trump’s travel ban due to the coronavirus, which medical experts have lauded as one of the smartest moves we have made as a country during this pandemic.

However, following the ban on travel from China, Biden immediately launched attacks at President Trump saying “this is no time for Donald Trump’s record of hysterical xenophobia…” and further claimed that “banning all travel will not stop it.”

Said comments were just examples as the former vice president made several such claims of xenophobia during speeches and media interviews while discussing the president’s efforts to slow the spread of the virus.

Fast forward to present day and Biden, who has appeared increasingly less certain of himself and his surroundings, now claims he has praised the president for his efforts with China.  He was quoted as saying “I complimented him on, uh, on uh dealing with China.”
