As if Mayor de Blasio’s handling of the pandemic and response to increased protests and rioting throughout the city were not bad enough, the crime rates continue to soar to record levels.

While the infamous mayor focuses on kneeling to the mob and ensuring his Black Lives Matter mural in front of Trump Tower remains intact, new reports indicate that the beleaguered city has already topped last year’s shooting total with five months to go in the 2020 calendar year.

As of August 1st, 2020 New York City has suffered 777 shooting, topping last year’s number of 776 for the entire year by one.

Experts and law enforcement officials fear that number will only continue to scale at a terrifying rate as revenge shootings occur and other lawlessness develops amid budget cuts to the police and violent protests throughout the city.

The surge in New York doesn’t stand on its own though as Chicago’s data continues to look like figures you would see in a war zone. The Chicago Sun-Times reported there were 406 “shooting incidents” in Chicago during the month of July 2020, an increase of 75 percent “from the 232 last July.”
