With so much ammunition against him, people want to know – why Joe? Well, according to Biden’s surrogate Terry McAuliffe, it’s simple – Biden prefers to stay in the basement.

First reported by Fox News, McAuliffe was caught on camera talking about Biden and how he campaigned from his basement during COVID-19. She said, “People say all the time, ‘Oh, we got to get the vice president out of the basement’. He’s fine in the basement. Two people see him a day: his two body people. That’s it. Let Trump keep doing what Trump’s doing.”

While hiding out in the basement while the rest of the country tries to survive might sound like a good plan to the Democrats. The President of the United States is a testament to the structure and strength we possess as a country. Hiding in a basement doesn’t scream leadership to me. It sounds like someone who is in over their head and looking for a way out, yet as it stands – Biden could be the next POTUS. That is – if he doesn’t skip the inauguration for a basement ceremony.

Even McAuliffe appeared to be proud that Biden hid in the basement. According to her, many top Democrat officials want Biden to stay out of the spotlight and continue letting the party led him just like Barrack Obama did back in 2012.

As for what Biden has done for the country already, McAuliffe was delighted to talk about everything the Democratic nominee couldn’t do. She said, “It’s hard for the vice president to break through. You’ve got the COVID crisis. He’s not a governor, doesn’t have the National Guard. He’s not the president, doesn’t have the briefing room. He needs to come out strategically. And when he says something like he did on race relations, it needs to have a big impact — thoughtful, and that’s what we’re preferring that he actually do at the time.”

So just to get the facts straight, Biden, the Democrats, and their voters are completely fine with Biden taking a step back and letting the Democrats run the White House. There have even been rumors that Kamala Harris might step in and become President due to Biden’s declining health and mental fortitude. With ballots still be counted, only time will tell which candidate the country favors.
