Andrew Cuomo, a man who has been arguing for the political oblivion of any Republican charged with sexual harassment is now facing allegations of his own. And these, look much more credible and damaging.

FNC: “New York City politico Lindsey Boylan alleged on Twitter Sunday that New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo ‘sexually harassed me for years.’ Boylan, who describes herself as a progressive on her Twitter account, worked for the governor’s administration from 2015 to 2018, according to her LinkedIn profile. She worked for Empire State Development, the state’s economic development public-benefit organization, until March 2018, when she became deputy secretary for economic development and special adviser to Cuomo.”

“Yes, @NYGovCuomo sexually harassed me for years,” Boylan wrote on Twitter. “Many saw it, and watched. I could never anticipate what to expect: would I be grilled on my work (which was very good) or harassed about my looks. Or would it be both in the same conversation? This was the way for years…Not knowing what to expect what’s the most upsetting part aside from knowing that no one would do a damn thing even when they saw it. No one. And I *know* I am not the only woman.”

“To be clear: I have no interest in talking to journalists,” Boylan wrote on Sunday. “I am about validating the experience of countless women and making sure abuse stops. My worst fear is that this continues.”

She had written earlier, “Most toxic team environment? Working for @NYGovCuomo. I’ve had many jobs. Waitressing at Friendly’s as a teenager was an infinitely more respectful environment. Even when I had bad customers who tipped poorly. … If people weren’t deathly afraid of him, they’d be saying the same thing and you’d already know the stories.”

How did the networks cover this story? Did they salivate over it like the Brett Kavanaugh allegations? “The network newscasts on Sunday night and Monday morning were predictably silent on the shocking sexual harassment claims against Governor Andrew Cuomo, a hero among liberals,” NewsBusters associate editor Scott Whitlock said.

He added, “On Sunday night there was silence from the networks. On Monday morning, NBC’s ‘Today,’ ‘CBS This Morning’ and ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ all avoided the accusations against the governor, despite a combined six hours of available air time.”

What did Cuomo say about the Kavanaugh charges? “The allegations of sexual assault against Judge Kavanaugh are disturbing and deeply concerning. I call on the Senate to postpone any vote until the allegations are fully investigated,” Cuomo wrote in 2018. Let’s see if he’s still singing the same tune today.
