Being an American means to support the pillars that help protect the place we call home. One of the institutions is the Police Department. Recently, thanks to the Democrats and Black Lives Matter, people have turned against the police they once admired. Sadly, there was an outbreak of violence that took place at a “Back the Blue” rally in Washington’s capitol. The violence didn’t come from the police or people there showing support – it all started when a black bloc anarchist group held a counterprotest at the same time.

According to the Olympia Police Department, the incident started when a “Large group of opposing protesters moved near the Capitol and are now moving through downtown Olympia. Near City Hall. The groups have dispersed into smaller groups and are moving throughout the area. Officers are monitoring to ensure things are peaceful from here forward.”

Keeping a safe distance, the police observed the two groups and tried to maintain a peaceful presence. But like most protests, both parties continued to taunt the other until finally, someone started to throw punches. In the video below you will see patriots being harassed and assaulted by protesters part of the “Squash Fascists” movement.

The events continued throughout the day with each event coming to a head when Antifa members started to burn American flags at the event. Again, another brawl erupted with injuries being sustained on both sides. Back the Blue protesters used poles and Trump flags to ward off the opposing side while they burned black umbrellas. In the Antifa movement, black umbrellas are used to hide their identity and have become somewhat of a symbol for the group.

In the end, the Police Department had to arrest two people on charges of felony assault. They also said, “We did make an arrest for a subject that appeared to fire at least one round from a handgun into the opposing crowd,” the police tweeted. “Any witnesses to that crime should contact through the 911 system.”

While overall a safe protest, it does show how far the arms of the Black Lives Matter and Antifa are reaching. What once started in a small town is growing into something that even the Democrats can’t control as they plan to take the White House.
