While the Democrats run and hide from COVID-19, including the President-elect, there are true leaders out there taking a stand for the small business owner. Like most Americans, these leaders are tired of watching the American people take it on the chin when it comes to COVID-19. Especially when those same officials are caught vacationing in Mexico. Luckily for Floridians, Governor Ron DeSantis is one of those leaders.

Taking a stand for the small business owner and saying it is enough, DeSantis stood in a West Palm Beach Steakhouse and supported keeping the state open. He said, “At a time when folks in our service industries, particularly restaurants, lodging, and hospitality have kind of taken it on the chin, particularly in other states where they’ve been completely shut down, we just want to send the message, some may want to shut you down. We want to pull you up.”

Making sure that every person understood him, DeSantis went on to say, “We’ve got your back if you’re a waitress or a cook or a family-owned business. You’re an important part of our state. You’re working folks who are working hard to make a living. You have every right to do that, and you can take it to the bank — in the state of Florida, you’re going to have that right defended by the governor.”

Finally, a person that understands the needs of the people. DeSantis isn’t saying that COVID doesn’t exist. He is saying that the economy won’t last if we continue to run and hide. That is something the Democrats have yet to realize. But when they do – they will most certainly blame it on the Republicans.

Not only making a speech better than President-elect Biden, but DeSantis also showed grit when he confronted a reporter who wanted to push a narrative that wasn’t part of the story. Seeing what she was trying to do, DeSantis shuts her down and quickly gives the entire audience a lesson of what it means to be a reporter.

Like President Trump, DeSantis is growing impatient with the fake news that continues to be pushed through the media.
