We all remember what it was like to visit Santa Clause before Christmas. The hours of standing around, waiting for your turn to tell the big guy what you wanted for the holiday. All year you waited for this moment. Well, for one unfortunate kid, the wait was anything other than what he expected when he encountered the new and approved ‘Woke Santa.” What was meant to be a cherished moment digressed into tears and sadness when the boy asked for nothing more than a nerf gun.

It’s that special time of year when parents have the advantage over their children. Kids all around the world behave differently when they know Santa and his little elves are watching. What makes this time of year even more special is when kids get you meet their idol in person. Even the parents find enjoyment in watching their kid talk to Santa, but this next video you are about to see is anything but a cherished memory.

Being shy, the kid doesn’t know what to think of the person sitting in front of him. For years, the kid has heard stories and watched films about the one they call Santa, and now he gets to meet him. But what happens when you visit a woke Santa?

Not wanting to upset Santa, the kid finally tells him that he wants a Nerf gun for Christmas. For those that might not know, a Nerf gun is a famous toy that shoots rubber nerf darts. There is nothing wrong with the toy and until now – it hasn’t even been considered a weapon. Still, Santa looks at the boy and tells him plainly – “No Guns.”

Not even a warmup or a little bit of sensitivity, jolly ole Saint Nick lets the pintsize child down with a gut-wrenching “No”. And like any child, the boy’s heart is ripped from his chest and he turns to look at his mother.

His mom even tries to reason with the Santa and reassures him that it is only a Nerf Gun, but the Santa doubles down and says “If your dad wants to get it for you that’s fine, but I can’t bring it to you. What else would you like? Lots of other toys: Legos, bicycles, there’s cars and trucks. What do you think?”

While it’s unclear who the Santa is and where the Twitter video was shot, it can’t be more than a couple of weeks old due to the holiday season and the social distancing taking place.
