New Republican House member from Georgia Marjorie Taylor Greene is a bomb thrower. She has said some things that were clearly loony and it would have been better for the party and the nation if someone would have beat her in the GOP primary.

However, she was fairly elected by her district, probably because the Democrat was even loonier, and has done nothing since she took her seat that warrants expulsion. But that’s just what Democrats want to do, expel her. Why? Because she’s a fighter who they know will do them harm. Kind of like a smarter AOC.

What the effort to expel her displays is the fascist impulse at the heart of the modern Democrat Party. We can say whatever we want, they think. But saying what we really disagree with? Well, that can’t be allowed.

FNC: “Rep. Jimmy Gomez on Wednesday announced that he plans to introduce a resolution to expel the controversial Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from Congress, accusing Greene of previously supporting calls for ‘political violence’ and advocating ‘extremism and sedition.’ The resolution would require the support of two-thirds of the members of the House to pass.”

“As if it weren’t enough to amplify conspiracy theories that the September 11 attacks were an inside job and the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School was staged, a string of recent media reports has now confirmed that Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene had previously supported social media posts calling for political violence against the Speaker of the House, members of Congress, and former President Barack Obama,” Gomez, D-CA, said. Given you need 2/3 of the House to expel her, she’s not going anywhere. It’s just a tactic to try and shut her up. It won’t work. In fact, it’ll let her play the martyr in fundraising appeals, give her publicity, and just amplify her attacks against Democrats. Another dumb move from the fading Nancy Pelosi.

Gomez added: “Such advocacy for extremism and sedition not only demands her immediate expulsion from Congress, but it also merits strong and clear condemnation from all of her Republican colleagues, including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.”

Greene shot back. “Democrats and their spokesmen in the Fake News Media will stop at nothing to defeat conservative Republicans.” Axios reported that House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-CA, will speak with Greene over her “deeply disturbing” past comments. It recalls the lines of Lt. Aldo Raine, “Nah. I don’t think so. More like chewed out. Been chewed out before.”
