Even though President Trump did more for America than most Presidents that came before him, the Democrats are still deadest of destroying everything he built. Although Trump has left the White House, the Dems are now pushing forward with articles of impeachment against a “former” President. While the Republicans have their defense that Trump was expressing his First Amendment rights when speaking at rallies ahead of the Capitol Riots, CNN is now claiming that the First Amendment doesn’t include the right to lie?

Given that it is CNN, we should all take it with a grain of salt, but it does question their professionalism when they can’t even remember what the law entails. Speaking on CNN, legal analyst Jennifer Rodgers decided to take aim at Trump’s legal defense when they claimed that you can’t prosecute a former president and even if you could – he is protected under the First Amendment right to free speech.

But according to Rodgers, that isn’t how the law works. She said, “Yeah, those are wrong. I mean, you don’t have a First Amendment right to lie. You don’t have a First Amendment right to put people in danger. And he did both of those things.”

What makes the video even more cringy to watch is how there are three other experts on the screen and not one of them tries to correct her. Instead, they act as if they were just given the Holy Grail of Trump evidence. But as mentioned above, the First Amendment does include your right to lie. If it didn’t, we would all be in jail.

Sadly, we live in a world where tale tales take place every day, but for the Democrats of all people to claim that Trump was lying when speaking to the crowd is absurd. If that is the case, President Biden should also be held accountable for saying that Americans were going to get “$2,000” stimulus checks, when in fact, it was only $1400. Where did the other $600 go?

According to Biden, we already received it as a down payment in the second round of stimulus checks. But that was never explained to the American people, so that would mean he is lying, and under Rodger’s interpretation of the law, he should be held accountable. But we all know that will never happen.
