Although he supposedly won the 2020 election, Joe Biden hasn’t accomplished anything positive for the American people since becoming President. The economy is barely staying afloat and who can forget about the “situation” at the Southern border. Instead of taking the reins, Biden shocked even his own party by appointing his Vice President, Kamala Harris, to fix the surge of immigrants. With having over 60 days to remedy the situation, Harris appears to be following in Biden’s footsteps as she has neither discussed nor even visited the border.

Back in March, Harris was appointed to take over the growing crisis and has since come under fire from Republicans and former President Trump for basically abandoning the issue. Even when presented with whether she would visit the border, Harris merely laughed off the reporter’s questions before moving on. What is more shocking is how back in 2018, Harris rushed to the border to protest Trump’s policies.

Before becoming Vice President, Harris was pandering to protesters outside the Otay Mesa Detention Center as she attacked President Trump and his handling of the border. She said, “I spoke with the mothers who are there, and my heart is broken. These mothers in there think that they are alone. We need to remind them and everyone else that they are not alone, and that we all stand with them. I’m a career prosecutor. I have visited many prisons and jails. That is a prison. You walk through the halls and the doors clink shut and there are bars on the windows.”

While Harris’s statement sounds heartfelt, they were nothing more than false facts spread to help the Democrat’s agenda. If she remotely cared about the lives of immigrants, Harris would be fighting day and night to fix the problem, yet all she has done was participate in a zoom call with the Mexican president.

With the crisis continuing to grow, one Republican has decided to hold Harris accountable by introducing a bill that would restrict the Vice President from using taxpayer funds to travel until she visits the Southern border.

Talking to Fox News, Rep. Ashley Hinson, R-Iowa, said, “She’s putting yarn shops and bakeries before the border. She’s Zoomed with the Mexican president, but I think that sends the absolute wrong message to the men and women that are putting their lives on the line every day, not to mention the men and women and families that live in these communities along the border and the communities of Iowa — every state is a border state.”
