“President Biden has supported Critical Race Theory since he took office—no one believes this was an honest mistake. If the Biden administration doesn’t support this sort of radical racist ideology, it should publicly condemn Critical Race Theory and stop it from being promoted in the federal government,” said Senator Cotton on Wednesday.

The racist education guide in question, promoted by the Biden administration, calls on educators to “disrupt Whiteness” and “[r]emove all punitive or disciplinary practices that spirit murder Black, Brown, and Indigenous children.”

As soon as this got press, the Department of Education tried to walk it back. They are lying. “The Department does not endorse the recommendations of this group, nor do they reflect our policy positions,” the statement read. “It was an error in a lengthy document to include this citation.” An error. Really? Very weak spin indeed.  However, they say they will now not use this specific Marxist claptrap. If they don’t, well then it’s a win, of sorts. Only of sorts? Because who knows how many similar documents they are promoting in the shadows.

As to the charges against America in the Biden administration approved “education” guide? Cotton explained, “It’s not defensible to say that America is systemically racist – that we should treat people differently because of the  color of their skin,” the senator said on Wednesday. “That’s exactly what Martin Luther King and the Civil Rights Movement advocated against.

“This is a small victory on behalf of sanity and racial equality in our country. 35,000 Americans contacted the Biden administration and said do not hijack a bipartisan civics program to try to advocate for Critical Race Theory. The idea that some races are inherently oppressive, and our founding documents are systematically racist, that’s not what Americans believe,” said Cotton. “Americans want a country that is colorblind and subscribes to what Dr. Martin Luther King said in his dream speech. That we should judge people by the content of their character, not the color of their skin.”
