The fact that Democrats have consistently supported Communist regimes is well known to history. Henry Wallace, Jim Wright, and Ted Kennedy all made common cause with the Soviets and their satellite states. The media has followed their lead. A New York Times reporter, Herbert Matthews, sold Castro to the American people as a freedom loving fighter for liberty. Not quite.
Now, as Cuban patriots rise for their rights, American Democrats are silent. But that does not cover up the numerous statements of support for the Cuban Communist Party from Bernie Sanders, Barack Obama, AOC, Omar, Tlaib, etc. They are complicit in the Communist dictatorship of Cuba.
FNC: “Anti-government protests broke out Sunday in Cuba demanding freedom and calling on the disbandment of the country’s communist dictatorship, all while some of the U.S.’s most outspoken, self-professed Democratic socialists appear to be in lockstep by not acknowledging the historic events unfolding on the island about 90 miles from Florida.
Fox News has emailed Reps. Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib and Sen. Bernie Sanders and has yet to receive a response from any of them. As of early Monday, none have even mentioned the protest on social media. Thousands of Cubans marched on Havana’s Malecon promenade and elsewhere to protest food shortages, high prices and the coronavirus outbreak in one of the biggest anti-government demonstrations in the country ever.”
Asked about Cuba, Bernie Sanders replied that Fidel Castro’s brutal dictatorship “educated their kids, gave their kids health care, totally transformed the society…You know? When Fidel Castro came into office, you know what he did? He had a massive literacy program. Is that a bad thing? Even though Fidel Castro did it?”
AOC is not a fan of the anti-communist South Florida Cuban community. The Democratic socialist tweeted, “But honestly when it comes to Latinos the party’s just never seriously made an effort. Mexicans, Central Am, Caribbean, Chicanos — Cubans are not the only impt community.”
The Biden administration, though a State Department pro-Communist, tried to put out that Cubans are only protesting because of COVID-19.
Peaceful protests are growing in #Cuba as the Cuban people exercise their right to peaceful assembly to express concern about rising COVID cases/deaths & medicine shortages. We commend the numerous efforts of the Cuban people mobilizing donations to help neighbors in need.

That was an alibi, a cover-up, for the Communists. Senator Marco Rubio, Republican of Florida and of Cuban heritage, responded. “People in Cuba are protesting 62 years of socialism, lies, tyranny & misery not “expressing concern about rising COVID cases/deaths. Why is it so hard for @potus & the people in his administration to say that?” Because many of them back the Cuban Communist Party, that’s why.
