No matter how many press conferences President Joe Biden does, America and the world can see that the situation in Afghanistan is a complete disaster. But it isn’t your political stance, the main objective now is to get both American citizens and their allies out of the country safely before the Taliban regains complete control. With this in mind, President Biden suggested extending his original pull-out date, but this only caused the Taliban to threaten any U.S. troops stationed in the country past the August 31st deadline. And while Biden hasn’t responded, Representative Dan Crenshaw of Texas politely told them to “Go f*** yourself.”

For those unaware, on Sunday, President Biden first mentioned extending his plans in Afghanistan, stating, “There’s discussions going on among us and the military about extending.  Our hope is we will not have to extend, but there are going to be discussions, I suspect, on how far along we are in the process,” Biden said on Sunday. “We discussed a lot with the Taliban. They’ve been cooperative in extending some of the perimeter.”

Biden also added, “So far the Taliban has not taken action against U.S. forces. So far they have, by and large, followed through on what they said in terms of Americans to pass through, and the like. And I’m sure they don’t control all of their forces. It’s a rag tag force.”

But even while the President is only concerned about getting citizens out, Taliban spokesperson Dr. Suhail Shaheen responded, “It’s a red line. President Biden announced that on 31 August they would withdraw all their military forces. So if they extend it that means they are extending occupation while there is no need for that. … If the U.S. or UK were to seek additional time to continue evacuations — the answer is no. Or there would be consequences.”

While President Biden remains distant from press conferences during this time, Rep. Crenshaw saw the message from the Taliban as a direct threat, causing him to tweet back, “The only proper response from America to these dirty savage terrorists should be: Go f*** yourself.”
