While President Biden might be acting as if the Taliban hasn’t taken over Afghanistan on his watch, countless videos are continuously being uploaded online showing the true horror of what is taking place. From planes being overtaken to women pleading for their lives, the chaos in Afghanistan is truly heartbreaking to witness, especially when President Biden refrains from even mentioning anything about it. But while Biden stays silent, Americans are watching as Afghan mothers are literally tossing their babies, hoping British and U.S. troops at the Hamid Karzai International Airport will save their children from the Taliban.

Although it might seem unreal, these are the extraordinary measures mothers are willing to take just so the Taliban doesn’t win. One Parachute Regiment Officer, who wishes to remain anonymous, told reporters, “The mothers were desperate, they were getting beaten by the Taliban. They shouted ‘Save my baby!’ and threw the babies at us. Some of the babies fell on the barbed wire. He also added, “It was awful what happened. By the end of the night, there wasn’t one man among us who was not crying.”

As you can see from the video above, the families and mothers are completely helpless as the terrorist group continues to gain control. On Wednesday, a White House official announced that 1,800 people had been evacuated in the last 24 hours. That is far below the 5,000 to 9,000 people the Pentagon was aiming to evacuate.

Reporting on the terrible events, Sky News’ Stuart Ramsay caught up with an officer who said, “It was terrible. Women were throwing their babies over the razor wire, asking the soldiers to take them. Some got caught in the wire. I’m worried for my men, I’m counseling some, everyone cried last night.”

As for Ramsay, who has reported on Afghanistan for some time, he said,  “I’ve reported on the Afghan war since it started. I’ve been on countless embeds with British and American soldiers, I’ve met with the Taliban, and I’ve seen pain and grief in Afghanistan for two decades. The Taliban has won. Watching on as soldiers carried babies towards the gates of the compound, I can’t help but think what a waste this has been. And once again a small contingent of soldiers are dealing with the mess.”
