Among the numerous disasters the Democrats are currently facing, they continue to only focus on the COVID-19 pandemic. From useless mask mandates to lockdowns, and now it’s vaccines. Whenever it has to deal with COVID-19, there is no doubt the Democrats are lurking right around the corner. But while they claim the coronavirus has the potential to end life as we know it and kill millions of people, it is surprising that Democrats are repeatedly being caught breaking COVID-19 mandates.

Thanks to social media, the lives of American politicians are constantly on display. That can be seen below as Representative Rashida Tlaib posted a video on Instagram on Monday showing fellow Democrat congresswoman Rep. Pramila Jayapal celebrating her birthday with friends and workers. While it is festive and everybody in attendance appears to be having a great time, there is one thing missing - masks. 

In the video, a cake can be seen, lit with candles, being blown out by a cheery Jayapal as onlookers cheer, laugh, and clap. Again, not a single mask.

What’s more interesting is how back in January, Jayapal tested positive for COVID-19. In the following days, she went on a tirade about how it was the Republicans' fault for not wearing masks while inside the Capitol.

"Too many Republicans have refused to take this pandemic and virus seriously, and in doing so, they endanger everyone around them. Only hours after President Trump incited a deadly assault on our Capitol, our country, and our democracy, many Republicans still refused to take the bare minimum COVID-19 precaution and simply wear a damn mask in a crowded room during a pandemic — creating a superspreader event.”

Jayapal didn’t stop there as she continued with a list of demands.  "I am also calling for serious fines to be immediately levied on every single Member who refuses to wear a mask in the Capitol. Additionally, any Member who refuses to wear a mask should be immediately removed from the floor by the Sergeant at Arms. This is not a joke. Our lives and our livelihoods are at risk, and anyone who refuses to wear a mask should be fully held accountable for endangering our lives because of their selfish idiocy.”

But while Jayapal decides she doesn’t need to wear a mask indoors, children across America are being forced to mask up.
