Although a comedian first, Dave Chappelle has come under heavy criticism from woke culture for the JOKES he made during his latest Netflix special “The Closer”. In the special, Chappelle hits on many of the sensitive topics plaguing America right now, and while it might be controversial, Chappelle promised that it was nothing more than to make people laugh. Still, as they seem to have no sense of humor, the community demanded he be canceled and his special removed. For now, neither has happened. And to even help Chappelle, transgender activist Caitlyn Jenner, who Chappelle talked about, came out in support of a friend.

While a transgender herself, Jenner, knowing Chappelle, understood where the comedian was coming from and where his heart really is. That is why on Tuesday, Jenner tweeted, “Dave Chappelle is 100% right. This isn’t about the LGBTQ movement. It’s about woke cancel culture run amok, trying to silence free speech. We must never yield or bow to those who wish to stop us from speaking our minds.”

Jenner’s remarks directly reflected what Chappelle talked about as in his special. “I want everyone in this audience to know that even though the media frames it that it’s me versus that community, that is not what it is. Do not blame the LBGTQ community for any of this s**t. This has nothing to do with them. It’s about corporate interests and what I can say and what I cannot say. For the record, and I need you to know this, everyone I know from that community has been loving and supporting, so I don’t know what all this nonsense is about.”

As for where the comedian stands with the current backlash, he recently said at a performance, “It’s been said in the press that I was invited to speak to the transgender employees of Netflix and I refused. That is not true — if they had invited me I would have accepted it, although I am confused about what we would be speaking about. I said what I said, and boy, I heard what you said. My God, how could I not? You said you want a safe working environment at Netflix,” he continued. “Well, it seems like I’m the only one that can’t go to the office any more!” ‘
