Although parents around the country are fighting with school boards about mask mandates and mandatory vaccines, a Kentucky high school is at the center of controversy for none of the above. While shocking, given the state of America, Hazard High School is under investigation for a homecoming event where teenage males were dressed in skimpy clothing and gave lap dances to staff, including the principal. And that’s not all as the girl, again teenagers, were caught wearing Hooter outfits.
Prompting outrage from parents, Hazard Independent Superintendent Sondra Combs said, “The incident is under investigation and as you know anything under investigation I really can’t talk about. Once the investigation is complete, appropriate action will be taken.”

MORE NEWS: Another Update On The Show’s Return
The homecoming event in question is strange given the fact that the outrageous pictures were literally posted on the Hazard High School Athletics Facebook page. Although they have since been removed, they showed the principal, Donald “Happy” Mobelini, participating in the so-called fun by getting a lap dance from one of the students. It should also be noted that Mobelini is alos the town’s mayor.

The event was held Tuesday at the high school and was promoted on their Facebook page. While homecoming is not known to have a gender, the event did refer to it as a “man pageant”. With that in mind, it is obvious why, although inappropriate, the young girls would be caught wearing Hooter outfits.
Nema Brewer, co-founder of the public education group Ky. 120 United, couldn’t believe the photos, especially with the current tension in the public school system. “Public education is under so much fire right now. This kind of stuff is not helpful. In fact, it’s disgusting. It appears they are sexualizing young adults.”

Although the event is under investigation and parents are demanding answers, both the Hazard School District Board and Principal Mobelini have been silent on the matter, refusing to make any statement.
