With social media platforms waging their own war against people who try to spread any information about COVID-19 that directly refutes the Biden administration, podcast icon Joe Rogan decided to sign up for a rival social platform called GETTR. Not only did Rogan create an account on the new platform that was created by an advisor to former President Donald Trump, but he also advised his close to 8 million Twitter followers to do the same.

Making the announcement on Sunday, Rogan shared his first message with GETTR users, writing, “Just in case s**t over at Twitter gets even dumber, I’m here now as well. Rejoice!”

It should also be noted that Rogan’s decision to start looking at alternative social platforms other than Twitter came on the same day that Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene from Georgia was permanently banned from Twitter. The reason for the ban was due to Greene supposedly spreading “COVID-19 misinformation.”

When GETTR first launched, founder Jason Miller, stated that he wanted the platform to be “independent from social media monopolies, independent from cancel culture; embracing free speech.”

With the news of Rogan switching platforms, GETTR revealed that the platform saw over 150,000 new users in a single day. Although some are praising Rogan for the move, some critics blasted the host, saying, “GETTR where @joerogan can play doctor and give advice that will kill you without fear of condemnation.”

Another said, “Good luck man. Miss those cool guests you used to have before you went all in on the alt-right s**t.”

Not all was harsh as one user noted, “Thank you Joe, somebody needs to start the movement. Glad to see you over there!”

On top of Rogan moving away from Twitter, the platform also recently banned Dr. Robert Malone for also supposedly spreading COVID-19 misinformation. The doctor followed the ban by going on Rogan’s podcast and exposing Americans to how the governments are using COVID-19 to introduce a wave of mass formation psychosis.
