The Washington Post was engaging in their usual left wing racism when they went a step too far, even by their own bigoted standards. They retreated into embarrassment.

FNC: “The Washington Post issued a ‘clarification’ Thursday after publishing a piece that said Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’s rulings “resemble the thinking of White conservatives.’

‘A previous version of this story imprecisely referred to Justice Clarence Thomas’s opinions as often reflecting the thinking of White conservatives, rather than conservatives broadly. That reference has been removed,’ the top of the piece now reads.”

The article quotes racist Southern Democrat Rep. Bernie Thompson, D-Miss., who told the Post, “Nobody that I’m aware of feels that opposing Clyburn’s nomination would be the wise thing to do. If you know that a person has been vetted by Jim Clyburn, you know that person won’t go to the court and end up being a Clarence Thomas.” WaPo continued by saying he was “referring to the Black justice whose rulings often resemble the political thinking of White conservatives.”

Rep. Mike Lee, R-Utah, who said the paper was trying to “bully” the justice. “When will they learn this doesn’t work? He’s his own man. His commitment to the Constitution and his judicial independence drive the left mad. He is a treasure to our nation,” Lee said.

Other conservatives were also incensed. Jeff Jacoby said, “This is journalism? Reporters @CleveWootson and @MariannaReports snidely identify Clarence Thomas — in a news story — as ‘the Black justice whose rulings often resemble the thinking of White conservatives.’ Why don’t they just call him an Uncle Tom?” Tim Graham said, “Oh, so @CleveWootson is the Black reporter whose reportings often resemble the thinking of White reporters.”

Stephen Miller opined, “So the Washington Post just casually refers to Clarence Thomas as an Uncle Tom and it’s just something that the rest of the journalists just let happen without speaking out. It’s just a thing that happens and they are fine with it.”

And Comfortably Smug commented, “This is the most disgusting thing I can remember seeing in a newspaper in sometime. The Washington Post and @MariannaReports should apologize. Unbelievable.”
