According to two separate reports by the New York Post and the Washington Examiner, President Joe Biden spent 28% of his first year in the White House, not in the White House. Deciding to vacation in Delaware, President Biden spent at least 101 days at either his home in Wilmington or his vacation home in Rehoboth Beach. The Washington Examiner added that the President spent 26 out of 52 weekends in Delaware. While outlets have been reporting on Biden’s whereabouts, the President recently admitted, as if it were breaking news, that he escapes to Delaware every chance he gets.

In the video, which can be watched below, President Biden was hoping to promote both the $1 billion Great Lakes Restoration initiative and his own $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure law when he discussed his vacation habits. Biden noted, “Before I begin, I want to just point out, I was having — just sitting and talking with [Marcia Fudge, former Ohio Congresswoman and current director of the Department of Housing and Urban Development], and she said something that reminded me of what I miss as well. She said, ‘it’s so good to be home in Ohio.’ No, I really mean it. And I said, ‘you’re probably the only one that understands that every time I get a chance, I go home to Delaware.’ You think I’m joking. I’m not.”

Leaning closer into the microphone, Biden added, “I represented Delaware for 36 years as a United States Senator, and just like most Congressional districts, the good news is the bad news: everybody knows you.”

Not knowing exactly what Biden does while in Delaware, even White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki refused to give any information for the frequent trips. She only said, “I can confirm we are not going to be providing information about the comings and goings of the president’s grandchildren or people visiting him in Delaware.”

As for the response to Biden’s comment, Ashe Schow of The Daily Wire wrote, “No one thinks he’s joking”.

The National Security Advisor for Senator Ted Cruz also tweeted the video of Biden with the same exact caption.
