Growing to become one of the most influential podcasters in recent times, comedian Joe Rogan has been able to capitalize off of his success by striking a deal with Spotify for an estimated $200 million. At the same time Rogan transitioned to Spotify, the host was bombarded with hate and criticism for not toeing the corporate line set by the woke mob and cancel culture. This only increased when Rogan spoke with experts like Dr. Robert Malone, who completely shredded the COVID-19 agenda. Having been known to speak with controversial guests, Rogan recently admitted that he would leave Spotify if pressured to conform.

Speaking on the matter, Rogan claimed, “If I become something different because it grew bigger, I’ll quit. I will quit. If it gets to a point that I can’t do it anymore, where I have to do it in some sort of weird way where I walk on eggshells and mind my p’s and q’s, f*** that!”

The calls for having Rogan de-platformed started in 2019 when he discussed transgenderism. “There’s no reason to give kids hormones. And there’s no reason to decide before a person’s frontal lobe is completely fully developed, which doesn’t even take place until they’re 25. People don’t know who they are, a 7-year-old. people don’t even give their 7 year-old phones, you don’t let them vote, you’re gonna let them decide what sex they’re gonna be for the rest of their life?”

Rogan added, “But if that’s who they are. if they think they are a girl, why do you have to give them hormones to make them more of a girl? It’s a simple question. If you say that the child thinks it’s a girl, so you’re gonna give the child hormones, if the child thinks it’s a girl, let it be a girl. Why are you adding hormones? If you’re shooting hormones into a child and you’re affecting the child’s development, and you’re saying that’s not a choice, that’s nonsense, of course it’s a choice. You’re choosing to chemically change this child’s body.”

The calls for censorship became so loud that Spotify CEO Daniel Ek made a statement, “In the case of Joe Rogan, a total of 10 meetings have been held with various groups and individuals to hear their respective concerns. And some of them want Rogan removed because of things he’s said in the past. Others have concerns specifically over a recent episode. And Joe Rogan and the episode in question have been reviewed extensively. The fact that we aren’t changing our position doesn’t mean we aren’t listening. It just means we made a different judgment call.”
