While GOP members like Lauren Boebert and former President Donald Trump have harped on President Joe Biden’s first State of the Union Address, it appears that not all criticism is coming from the right. During Biden’s speech, the official account of “The Daily Show” was caught tweeting a meme that directly mocked the President for having low energy. A constant complaint surrounding President Biden, the Daily Show account quickly deleted the photo after receiving a fair amount of backlash from liberals. Luckily, the internet never forgets.

As can be seen below, the image shows a low battery image that is in need of being charged. There were no words attached to the tweet since the picture was more than enough to know exactly what and who they were talking about. It should be noted that back during the 2020 campaign, Trump criticized Biden for being too old and even labeled him “Sleepy Joe”. It appears that nickname carries on today.

Followers of the Daily Show weren’t all that excited about the obvious correlation between the low battery and Biden. One wrote, “What was that deleted tweet about being ‘low battery’… how very republican rhetoric from you”.

Another person added, “Nice job with the battery. He actually was stronger at the end. What a jerk. I would like to see you do what he has done over the past year.”

Other comments included, “WTH?? Seriously you deleted this, you must be standing with the GOP” and “What the f***?!?! Who hacked this account?!? This is bulls***!!! @Trevornoah did you approve this?!?”

Although the Daily Show account was not hacked, as mentioned above, the tweet was later deleted. Biden’s speech would continue to draw criticism due to the President not supporting the “Defund the Police” narrative pushed by the Black Lives Matter movement. While once backing the move, the Democrats have increasingly distanced themselves from the idea as crime continues to surge.
