Well, well. When liberals injure the nation at large they are usually safe in the knowledge that their nefarious deeds won’t affect them on a daily basis. But Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott has changed all that. It’s a nice wake up call for Democrats.

Three buses, granted not crammed with a lot of illegal immigrants, have made the trek from Texas to DC and have been dropped on Joe Biden’s doorstep. As the numbers are low, so far, Capitol Hill is not currently teeming with illegal immigrants. But the message is clear. Many more could be on the way unless the Biden administration does something about the open door policy at the border and reinstates Title 42 restrictions.

FNC: “A third migrant bus arrived in Washington, D.C., around 8 a.m. Friday as part of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s efforts to counter federal immigrant policies amid the current border crisis.

Texas began sending buses en route to Washington, D.C., on April 8, following Abbott’s statement that Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) officials would be transporting migrants released in Texas communities to the nation’s capital. The White House initially described it as a ‘publicity stunt,’ with many assuming the governor would not follow through. The Friday bus carried approximately 30 migrants…As of February, approximately 220,000 known ‘gotaways’ have evaded Border Patrol since October 2021, a Department of Homeland Security official told Fox News in February.”

The Daily Caller reports, “The first bus, which arrived in D.C. on Wednesday morning, had 24 migrants from Colombia, Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua, and, the second bus, which arrived during the early morning hours on Thursday, had 14 migrants from the aforementioned countries, Abbott spokesperson Sheridan Nolen told the Daily Caller News Foundation. A third bus arrived with around 30 migrants on Friday morning.”

“What better place for them to go than the steps of the United States Capitol?” Abbott asked last week. “The predictable result is that these governors of states that are connected to Texas would be knocking on our door begging for relief…As they beg for relief, we are demanding that they implement security measures that will reduce illegal immigration coming across the border.”
