New Orleans, the murder capital of the United States, is reimagining the reimagining of their police force and is looking to hire civilians to help them with their law enforcement tasks. The New York Post reports that are actually hiring civilians to take calls and to send out to crime scenes to gather evidence.

Yeah, I would guess that some of those cases are going to be THROWN OUT by the criminal attorneys ASAP.

There are only about 1,000 New Orleans police officers in the city right now, down about 300 from last year, resulting to an average response time of about 11 minutes.

In addition to helping with crime solving, the civilians will help with administrative duties with the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD). New Orleans Police Superintendent Shaun Ferguson gave a press conference last Thursday where he said, “What we are going to be doing in the future is hiring civilians and police intake specialists. We are looking to hire 25 civilians so we can have around-the-clock staffing, telephones to take those reports, and around-the-clock staffing to monitor these online reports.”

What could possibly go wrong? Because, hey, it’s only a law enforcement job.

And to help with recruiting, NOPD is lowering their hiring standards. Ferguson said, “My message to you… to those of you (who) may have been disqualified in the past, I’m urging you to submit your application because some of our hiring criteria have changed.”

A few of those changes have to do with no longer considering low credit scores or marijuana use. Their website for entering the police force also says that college education/military requirements are removed as well as domicile requirements.

This is what happens when you have a country-wide defund the police, demoralize the police and chase out the police movement.

The Democrats are getting their way. They wanted to get rid of police. They wanted less arrests. They wanted less prosecutions.

Mission accomplished.
