While the Democrats are continuing to feel the pressure of the 2022 midterm elections, the Republicans are not only predicted to gain ground, but they are already looking ahead to the 2024 Presidential election. For now, it is a complete guess as to who will win the nomination from either party. According to Joe Biden, he hopes to run again for re-election. Other Democrats who have been suggested included California Governor Gavin Newson. On The Republican side, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has gained a massive amount of support. And who could forget former President Donald Trump? While he hasn’t admitted to any plan for 2024, Paul Ryan, who was once the House Speaker, said on Friday that Trump would likely lose the primary race.

Speaking with Kevin Kajiwara, the CEO of Teneo, Paul Ryan said, “Whether he runs or not, I don’t really know if it matters. He’s not going to be the nominee, I don’t think.” Claiming Trump uses fear and intimidation to rule the GOP, Ryan added, “Whenever you try to do that, it ends the way Hemingway talked about bankruptcy. It goes along for a while until it [steeply] drops.”

Not one to stay silent, Donald Trump must have received word about Paul Ryan speaking against him as he jumped on Truth Social to express his own opinion. He criticized Ryan as a horrible candidate and an obstacle in the way of his Southern border wall. “The grossly incompetent former Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, who was an even worse V.P. candidate with RINO Mitt Romney, and a man who couldn’t run for ‘dog catcher’ in the Great State of Wisconsin (he quit), did everything possible to stop the construction of the Southern Border Wall. He was almost as bad as the Dems, but I got it done, including certain additions, anyway. It made a big difference and is a primary reason we set record lows on illegals pouring in. Dopey Paul was bad news!”

The Gateway Pundit reported in 2018 about Paul Ryan and the border wall. “Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell promised to pass funding of $12-15 billion to build the Trump border wall. But it was all a lie. Paul Ryan also told Tucker Carlson he would fund the Trump border wall. It was all a lie. Paul Ryan has not once including funding for the Trump border wall in any financial package since Trump’s election.”

Offering their take, online users wrote, “Paul had his chance to be a superstar in the republican party. He instead chose to side with the globalists and the left. But he’s gone, and no one cares what he has to say!” One person simply put, “Ryan is a paid-in-full Liberal Democrat.”
