The days in Washington, D.C., seem to be the same as the Democrats attacking the Republicans and the GOP attacking the Democrats. Each time a party makes a statement, the other is quickly behind them with a rebuttal. But thanks to the dismal leadership of the Biden administration and the Democratic National Committee’s agenda, some Democrats, like Tulsi Gabbard, have decided to jump ship and leave the party. While stating that the Democrats were controlled by an “elitist cabal of warmongers,” it seems that Gabbard isn’t stepping away from politics as she recently announced her support for rising Republican Kari Lake, who is running for Governor of Arizona.

For those who might need a refresher, Tulsi Gabbard was deep into the Democratic party. She once represented the state of Hawaii, held a chair on the Democratic National Committee, and even ran for President in 2020. The DNC ultimately decided to endorse Joe Biden. But as mentioned above, Gabbard is now supporting the GOP on Tuesday when she attends the Arizona Young Republican Engagement Forum.

Throughout her campaign, Kari Lake has grown increasingly popular ahead of the 2020 midterm elections. She not only gained the support of Tulsi Gabbard, but she even caught the attention of former President Donald Trump, who also endorsed her for Governor. Responding to Gabbard’s words on Trump’s social media platform, Lake admitted, “Truly an honor to have an endorsement from this American Hero.”

User offered their opinions on Tulsi Gabbard, writing, “All the truth bombs she’s been dropping sound more aligned with MAGA than RINOs. She’s smart and speaks well. She is building a growing base of people who like her. She has a good podcast. She’s not voting on legislation. What’s not to like about that?”

Another person opted to give some other examples of former Democrats who transitioned to the Republicans and changed the party. “Ronald Reagan was a Democrat. Donald Trump was a Democrat. They both turned out good.”
