The former girlfriend of Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is accusing the NFL player of years of domestic abuse, allegations she has publicly detailed through social media posts that include photographs she says document physical injuries and property damage.
Dacoda Nichole made the allegations in posts shared to Instagram, where she included images she claims show injuries inflicted by Rice during their relationship.
Nichole also posted photographs of damage to property that she said Rice caused, including an image she described as showing a hole in a wall created by Rice punching it, according to WFAA-TV.

In a written statement accompanying the posts, Nichole said she had reached a breaking point after years of remaining silent.
“I’m so tired of keeping quiet, I’m so tired of protecting his image,” Nichole wrote.
“I’ve been through too much in a span of 8 years and I’ve had ENOUGH! I’ve dealt with abuse for years, me and this man decided to break up a couple months ago and since then it’s been nothing but hell.”

Nichole’s posts did not specify dates or locations for the alleged incidents but framed the claims as occurring over the course of an eight-year relationship.
The allegations surfaced publicly as Rice continues his professional football career following recent legal and league disciplinary actions unrelated to the abuse claims.
The Kansas City Chiefs acknowledged awareness of the allegations but did not provide further comment.
“The club is aware of the allegations on social media and is in communication with the National Football League. We have no further comment at this time,” the team said in a statement.
The National Football League has not publicly announced any disciplinary action in connection with Nichole’s allegations as of this reporting.
The league’s personal conduct policy allows for investigations into off-field behavior, including allegations of domestic violence, regardless of whether criminal charges are filed.
Rice has previously faced legal consequences stemming from a separate incident.
In March 2024, he was involved in a multi-car crash that authorities said occurred during a drag racing incident.
According to ESPN, Rice later pleaded guilty in a Dallas court to two third-degree felony charges: collision involving serious bodily injury and racing on a highway causing bodily injury.
Police testimony during court proceedings indicated that Rice was traveling at 119 miles per hour in a Lamborghini SUV ahead of the crash. The incident resulted in injuries to others involved in the collision.
As part of the legal outcome related to the crash, Rice was sentenced to 30 days in prison.
In addition to the criminal penalties, the NFL imposed discipline under its personal conduct policies.
Rice served a six-game suspension from league play for violating those policies.
After completing the suspension, Rice returned to the Chiefs’ active roster in October.
The team did not indicate whether the latest allegations would affect his status going forward, deferring instead to the league.
Nichole’s social media posts included both images and written statements describing her experiences, though no police reports or court filings related to the abuse allegations were cited in her posts.
It is not clear whether law enforcement agencies have opened an investigation based on her claims.
The allegations add another layer of scrutiny to Rice’s off-field conduct at a time when professional sports leagues have faced increased pressure to address domestic abuse allegations involving players.
The NFL has previously stated that it reviews such matters independently of criminal proceedings.
