In what doesn’t even pass for bad melodrama, a work shirking Texas Democrat, on the luxurious lam in Washington, went over the deep end last Friday and compared herself to a runaway slave. Hmm, not sure Dred Scott stayed in 4 star hotels and called up room service on a whim. Also, Mr. Scott was not compensated for his labors, unlike the Texas Democrats.

The absent legislators also may vote, are not chattel, and can may make decisions without the approval of their owners, unless you count the Texas Democrat Party. So to compare herself to a slave is a vicious insult to those who toiled in harsh involuntary servitude.
In fact, it is the delusion of an unsound mind. Next she’ll be rowing in a Roman galley or claim to have been a prisoner on the Bataan Death March. Anything to grab the victimhood status she and her ilk live for. But this one is a bridge too far, an exaggeration so devoid of fact or judgment that it hurts her cause rather than help it even with those slow witted enough to support her.

This singing buffoon said her caucus “refuse[s] to be a hostage…I know there are search warrants out for us and I’m ready to be arrested. What do you do to a slave if you don’t do nothing but arrest them when they flee. We fled Texas and if they want to arrest me, go ahead. I’m ready to be arrested.” Ah, such a grasp of grammar and logic. MENSA members quake at her sagacity.
